        Most of Nongbualamphu area is a highland surrounded by mountain stretching from North to South.It's about 560 kms. from Bangkok , covering the area of 3,859 sq.km.The area is suitable for agriculture ; rice , sugar cane , tapioca and para rubber. Eventhough Nongbualamphu is considered to be the poorest province of Thailand, its people are very happy to live simple lifestyle. We enjoy being ordinary here by nature where we belong.

Nong Bua means “ Lotus pond ”
Lamphu means “  Long range mountain ”

        The lotus pond is located in the middle of town inside The King Naresuan Park and you can see the mountain chain stretching from north to south as the background which makes Nongbualamphu a beautiful lakeside scenery of all.

           It is the latest province separated from Udonthani in 1993. It became the 76th province of Thailand .It’s in the Northeast of Thailand surrounded by Udonthani province to the North and the East, by Khon Khaen province to the South, and by Loei province to the West.

             Nongbualamphu is a newly established province. It's about 46 kms. from Udonthani province. It's a small and peaceful town. Its people are very kind and friendly. There are many interesting places to visit also Homestays & Long stay available.

          Many foreigners like to spend their vacations with homestay which is the best opportunity to experience the lifestyle and culture by living with a host. Some volunteer for teaching English Conversation in an " English Camp" every year.And they had great fun with students & things they had never done before.                                             

           Visitors may use car rental services available in town or you may choose a tricycle service called " Skylab " which is more popular here, for visiting tourists spots in town and nearby area.
